My Zumo XT2/XT3 doesn't work with the TeqMount adapter?!
It is important to first check whether the device is receiving power via the adapter and whether the wonderwheel control is working.
➡️ Is the wonderwheel control not working AND is the Zumo not receiving power?
Please contact us at backoffice@gps.nl and include a photo of both the front and back of the adapter.
➡️ Is the Zumo receiving power, but the wonderwheel control is not working?
Press and hold the MENU button on the left handlebar and switch the control panel mode from "TFT" to "NAV".

Still no control? Then there are a few steps you can try:
1. Check if the Zumo is up-to-date
Make sure the Zumo is fully updated to the latest firmware via Garmin Express.
Then go to the handlebar controller section via the app menu and check what is at the top of the screen:
- Does it say "handlebar controller" or "handlebar controller disconnected"?
- Does the screen react when you operate the wonderwheel?
If the screen reacts and shows "handlebar controller", then the adapter is working and signals are being received. In that case, the Zumo probably needs to be restarted or reset.
2. Restart the device
Turn the device completely off and on again while it is in the motorcycle (and thus receiving power from the motorcycle):
- Press and hold the power button for 6 seconds
- Confirm shutdown on the screen
- Wait a few seconds
- Restart the Zumo
3. Reset to factory settings
- Go to the map screen
- Press the speed box in the lower left
- On the next screen, press and hold the speedometer (top center) for 6 seconds
- You will now enter a menu
- Select the top option: “Clear all user data”
The device will then restart with factory settings.
Note:
Was the BMW navigation preparation including wonderwheel already factory-installed on the motorcycle, or was this done later?
If this was installed later, the BMW dealer must also have updated the motorcycle's software. The SA272 software package must specifically be installed.
